School Description: Grantsburg Virtual School (GVS) is an online school that opened in the fall of 2004. GVS allows students to take control of their education and realize success. The vision of GVS is to create success for everyone who desires to take virtual classes, ranging from the disenfranchised student who is credit-deficient and in danger of not graduating, to the average student who can become exceptional by creating his/her individualized program, to the gifted student who can earn national recognition in his/her areas of interest. Courses are aligned with Wisconsin standards, and mentors are available to the students for assistance with coursework.

Target Student Population: Grantsburg Virtual School serves students in grades 6-12 and adults seeking high school diplomas statewide. Types of Courses Available: Grantsburg Virtual School is committed to providing curriculum that is accredited and aligns to Wisconsin Model Academic Standards. A variety of curriculum vendors are used to best meet the needs of the students and create a wide variety of curricular options. There are many curriculum providers available and each has their unique strengths. GVS uses the strengths of each program to offer our students the best education possible meeting the diverse needs of each student. Our school helps each student develop a personalized learning plan. Upon completion of our credit requirements, a student can earn a state endorsed diploma.
